Q. How can I find out what's in the Mining History Archive?

You can find most of our books and journals in the library catalog, as well as hundreds of mine reports and some maps. (The catalog also has hundreds of 'non-archive' publications on mining history, so it's a good starting point.)

Examples of our digital collections are in Mountain Scholar (https://mountainscholar.org/).

Although some of our collections are included in the catalog, many are not or lack detailed descriptions. The Russell L. & Lyn Wood Mining History Archive guide (http://libguides.mines.edu/specialcollections/mininghistory) has information on using this Archive; and the Archive's Collections guide (http://libguides.mines.edu/Collections-Mining-History-Archive) provides details on some of those collections.
