How do I find a geology map?

The Library has a large collection of geology maps. Most are indexed in the Library's catalog by county or basin. NOT ALL geology maps are located in the Map Collection, although most will be.

For the United States, besides the Library's catalog, search the National Geologic Mapping Database. This is a comprehensive website, created by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and shows scanned copies of almost all of USGS' geologic maps of the United States. The Library owns paper copies of most things in the Database.
