How do I find a mining map?

The Library has a large collection of mining maps. Most cover areas of Colorado or the Intermountain West.

All the mining maps may be located through the Library's catalog. The mine maps, in general, are organized by county. Search for the county plus "mining maps".

Start your search with the name of the mine you are seeking. If that yields no results, try a search using the county name. Usually, a mine map will cover many properties, yet those properties will not be listed individually in the Library's catalog. Thus, it may be necessary to examine the map to find the mine you are seeking.
